Bar Bar - Sambar

Come Friday evening and the crowds flock to bars and pubs to celebrate the spirit of weekend and wave goodbye to the long and tiring week.

But my dil maangs more..nothing more delicious than hot and tempting 'Sambhar'.

Can swim, drown and drench myself in Sambhar..

Kudos! to the person who invented such a recepie which is a treat to the taste buds and melts in mouth when in perfect combination with 'Rice'.

With a bowl of desert in the end my 'Antaraatma Trupt' :)

Can't wait to immerse myself in the most aromatic, delicious and my favourite 'Bar'...:)

Life in a Glove...

A few days back on a chilly, bitterly cold and wintery morning I was on my way to the school on the city bus. A lady just got into the bus and as she was popping coins into the coin box for a ticket her gloves slipped and fell down. She was not aware of this happening. I and my co-passenger saw her and the fallen gloves.
She started walking forward attempting to find a seat for herself. I simply made a gesture to her with my hands to pick up her gloves. Just then she realised that her gloves were missing and ran back to pick them up. I could see the satisfaction and contentment on her face after she had located and placed them safely in her handbag.
She came up to me and thanked me warmly and said ' Life and Gloves are alike, you never know when you are going to lose them ' That struck me somewhere and I made sure I had my gloves on.

I was wondering for the next few minutes the number of gloves I had lost till date and the deep meaning in the words of that lady....Mixed Emotions :) :)

Divya Madam...

Being a Lunchtime Supervisor (LTS) feels great!

Like the many sudden things taking place in my life this title has been gifted to me by the supreme.

Working in IT for a good 3.5 years and a break of 1 year I finally managed to get a job for myself as a LTS. Working with children can be so much fun and pleasure I had never realised till date.

So much to learn from the tiny tots and so much to gain. From handling quarrels to exchange of tight fists there are also groups of children with whom I discuss Television and Movies. After being asked my name few asked "Miss, have u seen the movie Bodyguard?" with me replying in affirmative and starting to move when I suddenly hear the shouts...........

'Divya Madam'.......

Children and their ways :):):)

I Like This...

Saw this post on facebook by one of my friends...

"This is for all the strong women, who have been through a lot in life and survived!!!!

I am strong because I know my weaknesses, I am compassionate because I have experienced suffering, I am alive because I am a fighter, I am wise because I've been foolish, I can laugh because I have known sadness, I can love because I've known loss.
AND I SHALL CONTINUE TO DO SO....."

I salute the spirit of woman who has weathered storm but still loves to dance in the rain.

This clicks with me somewhere deep down therefore it's in my writing space...

Jab We Met....Sweet Memories....

Jab We Met....one of my favourite movies. The memories date back to my ILP days.
Oh Sorry!!! ILP means 'Initial Learning Program' with respect to my employers training program for new recruits.
Those days used to be the busiest days of life for the 40 people in Java Batch yet we all managed to find time and storm the theatre of Coimbatore to watch this romantic flick.Mesimerising songs and hilarious comedy especially 'Ganne ke Khet....' was a refreshing break for all of us from our round the clock schedule.
This movie is very close to my heart turning those days cherishable forever. The fragnance and memories of those fun filled days cloud me as I watch this sitting on my couch with some prominent changes in my life - getting married, moving to another country and being unemployed. Hehe...

Smiling to the tunes of 'Tum Se Hi....'
Ah...I am lost in those magic days.........

True Inspirations...

One of my favourite songs.. Promises of life have to be kept as 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'
Beautiful Song from the movie which depicts the beauty of life.
Appreciating life....

Ude, khule aasaman mein khwabon ke parindey
Ude, dil ke jahaan main khaabon
ke parinday
Oho, kya pata, jaayenge kahan
Khule hain jo pal, kahe yeh
nazar
Lagta hai ab hai jaage hum
Fikrein jo thi, peechhe reh gayi
Nikle unse aage hum
Hawa mein beh rahi hai zindagi
Yeh hum se keh
rahi hai zindagi
Oho, ab toh, jo bhi ho so ho

Ude, khule aasaman
mein khwabon ke parindey
Ude, dil ke jahaan main khwabon ke parindey
Oho, kya pata, jayenge kahaan
Kisi ne chhua toh yeh hua
Phirte hain
mehake mehake hum
Khoyi hain kahin baatein nayi
Jab hain aise behake hum
Hua hai yun ke dil pighal gaye
Bas ek pal mein hum badal gaye
Oho,
ab toh, jo bhi ho so ho

Roshni mili
Ab raah mein hai ik dilkashi si
barsi
Har khusi mili
Ab zindagi pe hai zindagi si barsi
Ab jeena
hamne seekha hai
Yaad hai kal, aaya tha woh pal
Jisme jaadoo aisa tha
Hum ho gaye jaise naye
Woh pal jaane kaisa tha
Kahe yeh dil ke jaaun
dil ki tu
Jahan bhi leke jaaye aarzoo
Oho, ab toh...
Jo bhi ho so ho
Jo bhi ho so ho
Ude, jo bhi ho so ho
Ude, jo bhi ho so ho

I-C-E

Those were the first things he would notice..
They always evoked an emotion in him..
Those cups held marbles in them...
The lashes and lids wen lifted in some vivid expressions would overwhelm him...
The nasal bridge and the nose were rite at the place they should have been...
Cutting gently through a pomogranate with those pearly white teeth and head in a bent position wen she suddenly lifted her head and stopped to ask him....
Why do you ignore people and lack emotions???
His heart skipped a beat at those marvelously marvelous marvel...

'NO' -KIA.....tha na...........

14th March the fateful day when i let go off my Nokia 7610 unknowingly. It was flicked ruthlessly from my pocket, lest did i know.....

I had read somewhere,in life many times you get signs to refrain doing certain things. Some unknown yet forceful force warned me toooooooooo, but lest did i heed..........

It was new, shining, lustrous black and red piece. To guard against all odds i decided to lock it inside a plastic, see through body cover.Aahh!!it looked stunning. The very next day struggling between conscious and semi conscious state of mind in a lecture i just knocked it off the table. It flew upto some distance and then crash landed on the floor. The body cover was in pieces and the 7610 from behind those tartars smiling 'I am freeeeeeee.............'.

I didnt restrict its freedom for almost 2 months when suddenly noticed some scars n scratches and decided an immediate dress up for the 7610.

I was too happy to find out a new black cover to lock the 7610 assuming it to be more durable. But the odds were stacked too strongly. The very next day the 230V supply was energising the 7610 placed on the shoe rack to feed its battery so that i could carry it with pomp in its newly locked black state. The wire of the iron knocked off the peacefully resting and charging 7610 off the shoe rack.I was mad at the shopkeeper who prompted me to get the suppossed to be strong black look for my 7610.But while clearing the mess off its body it again grinned 'I am freeeeeeee.......'

After 1 month on the 14th i had to leave for home i decided to lock it for its safety. It looked absolutely naive,i was so proud of it.I palced it in my pocket away from the ruthless world and myself got lost in a petty argument of bargaining. It was so crowded.I was lost and it was yelling behind the cover 'Free Me'.I couldnt hear the shreiks,it yelled for being in unknown hands.............
lest did i hear.......

After reaching home i couldnt feel its existance in my pocket,i lost it.Whenever i tried to lock it,it tried to break loose the shackles ,it smiled back a much broader one each time to emphasise its freedom. Now i dont know where it is?
In shackles? or Has it again broken free the grip?....
I miss u 7610......................
